PARKER SMITH AND PHILLIP BREEDING LEAD AFTER FIRST ROUND AT TGA FOUR-BALL

(Morristown) Parker Smith and Phillip Breeding teamed up to fire an opening round 63 (9 under par) at the 2008 TGA Four-Ball Championship which is being conducted at The Country Club, Inc. in Morristown, TN. Smith and Breeding, who are both call The Country Club, Inc. their home club, used their local knowledge of the course to post the day's lowest score by three strokes.

In second place at 66 (six under par) is the team of Clay Uselton and James McCord. Their round was highlighted by Uselton's double-eagle on the par 5 15th hole. Uselton and McCord are also past champions of this event in 1999 and 2003. Their are seven other teams tied at 67 (five under par).

All 50 teams will compete tomorrow in a final round of stroke play qualifying. The lowest 16 teams will move on to match play on Saturday and Sunday.
