Caddies
Caddies are NOT permitted.  All players must walk and carry their own bag.
Code of Conduct
Penalties for breach of sportsmanship code (to include but not limited to property damage, abusive language, club throwing, excessive drinking or gambling) may include censure, suspension or revocation of playing privileges.  USGA Decisions on the Rules of Golf - US/33-8/101.
Divisions
There are two divisions, each at stroke play, girls 10-14 and girls 15-18.  Girls 10-14 may compete in the 15-18 age division if they choose, but must declare this on the official entry application.  The 10-14 age division plays only 9 holes each day. 
Dress Code
Contestants MUST wear proper attire at all times during the practice round and competition.  Short shorts, jeans, tank tops, etc. are unacceptable. 
Eligibility
Open to female amateur golfers who have reached their 10th birthday by July 8, 2008 and have not reached their 19th birthday on or before July 10, 2008.  All entrants must be bona fide residents of Tennessee as of at least six months prior to the Championship.
Entry Deadline
All players must file an entry application by the entry deadline - July 2, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.(CDT) to be eligible to compete in the Championship.  LATE ENTRY APPLICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.  Applications must have been reached at the TGA office by the entry deadline (postmark date is irrelevant).  Phoned or faxed entries will not be accepted.  The TGA is not responsible for misdirected mail.  Entrants should mail entry forms early to allow for postal delays.  Entry applications may also be delivered in person to the TGA office at Golf House Tennessee in Franklin.
Fees
Each player will be required to pay a $10 range fee at registration.  This will cover range balls for the entire week.
Host Hotel
The Holiday Inn Express (Clarksville) is the host hotel.  A rate of $80+tax, per night, has been secured for participants.  Call (931) 358-5800 for reservations.  Tell the representative you are a participant in the TGA Girls Junior Amateur.  Reserve early to ensure availability. 
Withdrawal/Refund
If an entrant must withdraw, she must notify the TGA office at (615) 790-7600 immediately.  If a contestant must withdraw during the Championship, she must notify the official in charge or the official scorer.  Refunds will not be issued after the entry deadline of July 2, 2008 unless the reason is for illness or injury.  To receive a refund because of illness or injury, the request must be made in writing and accompanied by a doctor's statement.  NO refunds will be issued after July 7th regardless of reason.  A $15 administrative fee is charged to all withdrawals, except those for illness or injury.
