Code of Conduct
Penalties for breach of sportsmanship code (to include but not limited to property damage, abusive language, club throwing, excessive drinking or gambling) may include censure, suspension or revocation of playing privileges.  USGA Decisions on the Rules of Golf - US/33-8/101.
Dress Code
Contestants must wear proper attire at all times during the practice round and competition.  Short shorts, gym shorts, tank tops, etc. are unacceptable.
 
Eligibility
Open to female amateur golfers who were female at birth, have been a resident of Tennessee for at least six months prior to the Championship, have been a member of a TGA member club or course in good standing for at least 60 days prior to the Championship, and have a USGA Handicap Index from a TGA member club or course not exceeding 26.4 at the time of entry, and are at least 50 years of age on or before September 8, 2008.
Entry Deadline
Entry applications must reach the TGA office by 5:00 p.m. (CDT) on Wednesday, September 3, 2008.  Late or incomplete applications are not accepted.  Telephoned or faxed entry applications are not accepted.  Time limit for entries means time of receipt at the TGA office.  THE TGA WILL NOT ACCEPT LATE APPLICATIONS.
Fees
Cart and range fees for three rounds are included in your entry fee.  Practice round fees ($30) are NOT included in your entry fee and must be paid to the golf shop.  Cart fees are required.  Contestants may use cash, check, or credit card for these charges and other purchases throughout the week. 
Field - 100 Players
The field is limited to 100 players.  The first 100 entry applications received at the TGA office will be accepted into the field.  Subsequent entry applications will be placed on a waiting list based on time of receipt. 
Format
Play will be contested at 54 holes of stroke play.
 
18 hole qualifying round:  All players will play their first round from approximately 5,300 yards.  After all first round scores are posted the field will be divided equally into flights (Championship and Flights 1-4) with all like scores in the same flight.  If a player did not play their way into the championship flight, they will have half an hour after all first round scores are posted to "opt" into the championship flight.
 
The championship flight will move to a slightly longer set of tees.  All other flights (flighted division) will play from a shorter set of tees.  The remaining two rounds will be contested within each flight (36 holes).  The Women's Senior Amateur Champion will come from the championship flight only.
 
Super Senior Award:  A super senior award, age 65+, will be awarded in each division, flighted and championship, based upon 54 hole total score.

The Grand Vista Hotel will serve as the host hotel.  A rate of $79+tax, per night has been secured.  Please contact (423) 884-6200 for reservations and mention that you are a participant in the TN Women's Senior Amateur at Kahite.  Book early to ensure availability.

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top six finishers in each flight, gross only.

Special Events
Special Events will take place during the second round.  One of each award will be given in each flight (Championship and Flights 1-4) for fewest putts, closest to the hole, and longest drive.
Withdrawal/Refund
If an entrant must withdraw prior to the Championship she must contact the TGA office at (615) 790-7600.  If a contestant must withdraw during the Championship, she must notify the TGA Official in Charge or the Official Scorer before leaving the premises.  Failure to follow this procedure could result in loss of playing privileges in future TGA events.
 
Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason before the close of entries on September 3, 2008.  A $15 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds except illness or injury.  Note:  Due to commitments we have made with the golf course, no refunds will be given after the entry deadline, except for illness or injury.  To receive a refund for this reason the request must be in writing and accompanied by a doctor's note.  No refunds will be issued after September 7th regardless of reason.
