Caddie Policy

Contestants may use a caddie.  Caddies will NOT be permitted to ride in carts.  If shuttles are available caddies may ride in a cart designated as a “shuttle” or with a tournament official.  These two instances, and when play has been suspended, are the only instances where caddies are permitted to be in a golf cart.  

Cart Policy

Contestants must be 16 years of age or older to drive a golf cart.  Only contestants are allowed to drive or ride in golf carts.  

Code of Conduct
Penalties for breach of sportsmanship code (to include but not limited to property damage, abusive language, club throwing, excessive drinking or gambling) may include censure, suspension or revocation of playing privileges.  USGA Decisions on the Rules of Golf - US/33-8/101.
Dress Code
Contestants shall wear proper attire at all times during the practice round and competition.  Short shorts, gym shorts, tank tops, etc. are unacceptable.
Eligibility
Open to female amateur golfers who were female at birth, have been a resident of Tennessee for at least six months prior to the tournament, have been a member of a TGA member club or course in good standing for at least 60 days prior to the tournament, have a USGA Handicap Index from a TGA member club or course not exceeding 28.5 (individual) at the time of entry.
Entry Deadline
Entry applications must reach the TGA office by 5:00 p.m. (CDT) on Wednesday, August 12, 2009.  Late or incomplete applications are not accepted.  Telephoned or faxed entry applications are NOT accepted.  Time limit for entries means time of receipt at the TGA office.  The TGA will not accept late applications.
Fees
$325 for the team ($162.50 per player) that includes golf, range, bag storage (if available), and socials.
 
It DOES NOT include your practice round fee of $25.  This fee must be paid at registration to the golf shop.  Entry applications will not be processed without full payment for both players ($325).
Field - 80 Teams
The field is limited to 80 teams (160 players).  The first 80 entry applications received at the TGA office will be accepted into the field.  Subsequent entry applications will be placed on a waiting list based on time of receipt
Format/Flights
36 holes at four ball stroke play.  Eight flights if a full field of 80 teams have entered.  Flights will be determined by first round score.  All like scores will be grouped into the same flight with all flights having as close to the same number of teams as possible.
Groupings
For the first round only, teams may request to play in either the morning or afternoon shotgun (8:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.).  Teams are NOT guaranteed to play in their requested shotgun, however the TGA will try to accommodate as many requests as possible.  To request the morning or afternoon shotgun, contestants must contact the TGA office at (615) 790-7600 by the entry deadline.  No starting time requests will be honored after the entry deadline.  Within each shotgun, teams will be grouped by combined handicaps during the first round.  Teams will be paired within flights for the final round. The Fifth-Eighth Flights will start in the morning (8:30 a.m.) and the First - Fourth Flights will play in the afternoon (1:30 p.m.) shotgun.  No starting time request will be honored for the final round.

A rate of $96.00+tax, per night has been secured for participants.

Personal Charges

 Cleveland CC will allow each participant to have a personal account set up for individual charges throughout the duration of the tournament. Your individual accuulated charges will then be billed to your home address for payment.

Prizes
Will be awarded to the first and second place team in each flight.  The overall winning team will come from flights 1-4 and will be the team with the lowest 36 hole gross score.
Refund Policy
Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason before the close of entries on Wednesday, August 12, 2009.  A $15 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds except those for illness or injury.  Note:  Due to commitments we have made with the golf course, no refunds will be given after the entry deadline, except for illness or injury.  To receive a refund for this reason the request must be in writing and accompanied by a doctor's note.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER AUGUST 17th REGARDLESS OF REASON
Registration/Starting Times

Contestants must register in person at Cleveland CC by 2:00 p.m. or call the TGA office at (615) 790-7600 to request late registration.  Position may be forfeited by player from whom no word is received by August 17th at 2:00 p.m.

Participants may practice before August 17th at Cleveland CC; limited space so please schedule ahead.Starting times must be scheduled by calling the Cleveland CC golf shop, (423) 336-3566, two weeks in advance.

Withdrawal Policy

If an entrant chooses to withdraw prior to the Championship, she must contact the TGA office at (615) 790-7600.  If a contestant chooses to withdraw during the Championship, she must notify the TGA Official in Charge or the Official Scorer before leaving the premises.  Failure to follow this procedure could result in loss of playing privledges in future TGA competitions.
